on one hand: it's kinda isolated, doesn't have major alliances pulling it into big superpower fights, and it's far from the usual hotspots like europe, us, or asia. plus the red sea location might keep it out of direct crossfire if things stay conventional.
but on the other: massive regional tensions right now ethiopia pushing for sea access, possible conflict spillover from sudan/tigray, and eritrea's strict govt. if a global war heats up the red sea (shipping lanes, proxies, etc.), could it get dragged in somehow?
